WUMEA stands for Wits University Mining Engineers Association. The organization was established in 1954 and was formally registered as a Non-Profit Organization in 2020. We are an alumni association of Wits University Mining Engineering graduates, allied with the School of Mining Engineering.
Our membership is made up of mining engineering graduates and associates. As a non-profit organization we rely on annual membership subscriptions and donations in order to fulfil our mission.
